Fugaku Supercomputer
#WyvernFeed The ARM-based system from Japan, Fugaku, is now crowned the world’s fastest supercomputer by the Top500 supercomputing organization. The system can outperform the previous title holder, Summit from the US, by being able to produce 2.8 times more calculations per second.
Fugaku is currently working on simulating the transmission of coronavirus in office spaces with partitions or packed trains with open windows. It is expected to be fully operational next year and it will hopefully be able to help in the production of effective treatments of the said virus.
